In a statement, the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance acknowledged the following:

1. On September 19, 2022, the Social Insurance Services implemented the electronic submission of applications for the purpose of Unemployment Benefits via the government website www.gov.cy.
2. Starting on September 26, 2022, the Maternity Allowance to the Social Insurance Services' electronic application submissions has become a requirement. This particular requirement is already in place.
3. Beginning on March 10, 2022, SISnet, the Online System for the Payment of Contributions, will also accept payments for past-due Social Insurance contributions to settle balances for time frames during which the cutoff date has passed.

It should also be noted that insured persons must have already created as well as verified a profile on the CY Login service (https://cge.cyprus.gov.cy/cyloginregistratin/register) in order to submit the application online for the Maternity Allowance and Unemployment Benefit.
